I destini degli uomini si intrecciano nella vita, ma a volte il filo di una vita può essere tagliato. Atropo era la dea che interveniva a tagliare il filo della vita al momento stabilito.

Questo lavoro si ispira agli intrecci del nodo di Salomone rappresentati nei pavimenti a mosaico di epoca romana.

I mestieri che implicano l'arte del filare come l'uncinetto, i lavori a maglia, la tessitura, il telaio e così via, simulano all'atto pratico il volere delle Parche, le tre divinità che nella mitologia antica si occupavano del destino umano. Quest'opera appartiene ad una serie dal titolo "Synthetic Worlds", in cui sono rappresentati dei mondi alternativi alla realtà.

The destinies of men intertwine in life, but sometimes the thread of a life can be cut. Atropos was the goddess who intervened to cut the thread of life at the appointed time.

This work is inspired by the intertwining of Solomon's knot represented in the mosaic floors of the Roman era.

The crafts that involve the art of spinning like crochet, knitting, weaving, loom and so on, simulate in practice the will of the Fates, the three deities that in ancient mythology were concerned with human destiny. This work belongs to a series entitled "Synthetic Worlds", in which are represented alternative worlds to reality.
