Questo lavoro
rappresenta la prigione dell'anima umana. La farfalla passa la metà della
propria vita come bruco prima di diventare farfalla. La farfalla simboleggia la
psiche, l'anima umana. Come l'uomo passa metà della propria vita camminando,
così fa il bruco, prima di diventare farfalla e librarsi in volo. Anche l'uomo
deve mutare la propria anima per farla diventare come quella di un angelo.
All'uomo solitamente non piace il cambiamento, preferisce la stabilità, la
prigione sta a simboleggiare questa mancanza di volontà nel non voler cambiare
dell'uomo.
This work represents the prison of the human soul. The butterfly passes half of her life as a caterpillar
before she becomes a butterfly. The butterfly symbolizes the psyche, the human
soul. As a man passes half of his life walking, so
does the caterpillar, before becoming a butterfly and hovering in flight. Man
must also change his soul to make it become like an angel. Usually people do
not like change, prefer stability, the prison symbolizes
this lack of man's will in not wanting to change.
