Elvis Presley as Apollo

This site goes on vacation, I leave you with two works related to the figure of Elvis Presley. Just this year a film was released as a tribute to him. In these paintings he is represented as the god Apollo.

Questo sito va in vacanza, vi lascio con due opere legate alla figura di Elvis Presley. Proprio quest'anno è uscito un film in omaggio a lui. In questi dipinti è rappresentato come il dio Apollo.

“Dance III” rappresenta le Esperidi mentre danzano. Le giovani sono vestite con tute aderenti con ognuna la stampa di una runa: Gebo, Ansuz, Uruz. La seconda ha in mano un gioiello con stampato il QR CODE dove è possibile ascoltare la musica composta al piano sulle cui note si svolge la loro danza. Questo lavoro appartiene alla serie intitolata "Way back into Soul", in cui sono rappresentati antichi miti in chiave moderna. L'opera originale sarà venduta insieme ad una penna USB con file HD nei formati mp3, mp4 PAL, mp4 NTSC, pdf. In questo modo il collezionista può avere sempre a disposizione il brano musicale e cambiare supporto quando diventa obsoleto.

“Dance III” represents the Hesperides while they dance. The young women are dressed in tight-fitting overalls with each one printed with a rune: Gebo, Ansuz, Uruz. The second one holds a jewel with the QR code printed on it where it is possible to listen to the music composed on the piano on whose notes their dance takes place. This work belongs to a series entitled "Way back into Soul", in which ancient myths are represented in a modern way.The original work will be sold together with a USB pen with HD files in mp3, mp4 PAL, mp4 NTSC, pdf formats. In this way the collector can always have the musical piece available and change medium when it becomes obsolete.

“Dance II” represents the Hesperides while they dance. The young women are dressed in tight-fitting overalls with each one printed with a rune: Thurisaz, Raido. The second one holds a jewel with the QR code printed on it where it is possible to listen to the music composed on the piano on whose notes their dance takes place. This work belongs to a series entitled "Way back into Soul", in which ancient myths are represented in a modern way.

Questo lavoro riprende il concetto di musica universale o musica delle sfere espresso nella filosofia di Pitagora secondo cui l'intero universo è espressione musicale e quindi un sistema complesso di proporzioni numeriche. I corpi celesti si muovono producendo una musica che solo Pitagora riusciva a sentire. Grazie a questa sua dote egli riuscì a concepire matematicamente gli intervalli musicali e a costruire i primi strumenti a corda che introdussero la scala musicale.

Il termine " Vivacissimo " allude all'indicazione di tempo nella notazione musicale e si riferisce ad un tempo molto vivo.

Quest'opera appartiene ad una serie dal titolo "Synthetic Worlds", in cui sono rappresentati dei mondi alternativi alla realtà.

This work takes up the concept of universal music or music of the spheres expressed in the philosophy of Pythagoras according to which the whole universe is musical expression and therefore a complex system of numerical proportions. The celestial bodies move producing a music that only Pythagoras could hear. Thanks to this talent he was able to conceive the musical intervals mathematically and to build the first stringed instruments that introduced the musical scale.

The term "Vivacissimo" alludes to the indication of time in musical notation and refers to a very lively tempo. This work belongs to a series entitled "Synthetic Worlds", in which are represented alternative worlds to reality.
