In Cupid and Psyche II, the myth of cupid and psyche is represented. Love is the heart, illuminated by the passage of Psyche, the soul. The butterfly flying over the heart changes color as it passes. Sinossi

Tre sono le forze dell’anima umana: pensare, sentire, volere. Feeling rappresenta con la sua forma allungata una foglia stilizzata composta da più veli che sibila al vento un vaticinio, quello dato dal sentire. Come la sibilla Cumana profetizzava trascrivendo i suoi esametri su foglie di palma, così i versi ricamati su veli colorati rosso e blu, la cui fusione rappresenta il sentire, trasmettono quello che il divino vuol far capire all’uomo moderno: cercate di amarvi l’un l’altro, trasformate l’egoismo in amore per l’altro.

Synopsis

There are three forces of the human soul: thinking, feeling and willing. Feeling represents with its elongated shape a stylized leaf made up of several veils that hisses in the wind a prophecy, the one given by feeling. As the Cumaean sibyl prophesied by transcription of her hexameters on palm leaves, so the verses embroidered on red and blue colored veils, whose fusion represents feeling, convey what the divine wants modern man to understand: try to love each other the one another, transform selfishness into love for the other.

"Apollo II" è una variazione di "Apollo I" e rappresenta il mito del dio solare Apollo che termina il suo volo diurno nel giardino delle Esperidi, dove si riposa durante la notte, mentre le tre sorelle danzano per mano. Apollo ha le sembianze di Elvis Presley, che viene rappresentato come dio della musica alla guida della sua BMW 507. Sul cinturino del suo orologio c'è un codice QR che può essere scansionato con il cellulare per ascoltare una melodia ispirata all'opera, realizzata al piano dall'artista. Questo lavoro appartiene alla serie intitolata "Way back into Soul", in cui sono rappresentati antichi miti in chiave moderna.

"Apollo II" is a variant of "Apollo I" and represents the myth of the solar god Apollo who ends his diurnal flight in the garden of the Hesperides, where he rests during the night, while the three sisters dance by the hand. "Apollo I" rappresenta il mito del dio solare Apollo che termina il suo volo diurno nel giardino delle Esperidi, dove si riposa durante la notte, mentre le tre sorelle danzano per mano. E' per questo motivo che quelle regioni sono crepuscolari. Qui Apollo ha le sembianze di Elvis Presley, che viene rappresentato come dio della musica a cavallo di Pegaso. Al centro della sua cintura c'è un codice QR che può essere scansionato con il cellulare per ascoltare una melodia ispirata all'opera, realizzata al piano dall'artista. Questo lavoro appartiene alla serie intitolata "Way back into Soul", in cui sono rappresentati antichi miti in chiave moderna.

"Where the world ends"

In "Where the world ends", che si può tradurre con "Dove finisce il mondo", viene rappresentato un piatto da frutta con le mele dorate del giardino delle Esperidi. Sono poste al centro di una tavola sopra una tovaglia con motivi di piante Composite e sorvegliate dal fido Ladone. Sullo sfondo un cielo semicoperto da una tenda. Il giardino delle Esperidi si trova su un'isola nelle terre remote al di là di Borea, all'estremo nord, dove si trovano i cardini del mondo e dove termina il giro delle stelle, questo è il mondo degli Iperborei. 

 

In "Where the world ends", a fruit plate with golden apples from the garden of the Hesperides is represented. They are placed in the center of a table on a tablecloth with Composite plants motifs and the faithful Ladone take care of them. In the background a sky half covered by a curtain. The garden of the Hesperides is located on an island in the remote lands beyond Boreas, in the far north, at the ends of the earth and the course of the stars ends there, this is the world of the Hyperboreans.
